‘Frozen the Musical’ spectacular stage adaptation of Disney’s 2013 blockbuster animated film of the same name. Premiering on Broadway in March 2018 at the historic St. James Theatre, the musical was developed by an award-winning creative team, including Oscar-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, screenwriter Jennifer Lee, and Tony award-winning director Michael Grandage. The original Broadway cast starred Caissie Levy delivering a powerhouse performance as Queen Elsa and Patti Murin as the fearless and funny Princess Anna with additional leads being Jelani Alladin as Kristoff, Greg Hildreth as Olaf, and John Riddle as Prince Hans. Since then there have been productions worldwide in places such as London’s West End, Australia and Japan making ‘Frozen the Musical’ a global theatrical sensation.
The story follows the emotional journey of two royal sisters, Elsa and Anna, in the fictional kingdom of Arendelle. When Elsa’s hidden ice powers accidentally plunge the land into eternal winter, she isolates herself to protect those she loves. Anna sets out on a daring adventure – joined by Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf – to find her sister and save their kingdom. Along the way, they discover the true meaning of love, courage, and sisterhood. The stage version expands the beloved film with brand-new songs, deeper character arcs, and dazzling special effects that transform the stage into the icy kingdom of Arendelle.
‘A little bit of you, a little bit of me’ comes from the song ‘A Little Bit of You’ which is one of the initial songs within the story. It’s snng by young Elsa and young Anna during a playful childhood scene. The song celebrates the sisters’ close bond as they use Elsa’s magical ice powers and a bunch of toys to create Olaf, the loveable snowman who later comes to life.
The phrase symbolizes the idea that Olaf is made from both Elsa’s magic and Anna’s imagination – representing the love, fun, and unity between them. It also subtly foreshadows Olaf’s deeper role as a product of their shared love and memories. This moment is one of the musical’s key emotional anchors, showing the strength of sisterhood before the events that drive them apart.
With a design inspired by the version of Olaf that is built from a collection of toys and utilising shimmery pale blue enamel to embody Elsa’s ice magic, this pin is the perfect reference specifically to the stage version of Frozen.
